About us
We are passionate bike enthusiasts and proud to be part of the Alpine and cycling department of TV Bissingen. With tireless commitment, we offer children's mountain bike training for over 80 young talents. But our love of cycling knows no bounds – we also love the narrower tires. Whether on a gravel bike or on bikepacking trips lasting several days – we enjoy every minute in the saddle.
Our “home base” is the picturesque Swabian Alb, a true paradise for cyclists. There are scenic treasures to discover here that we don't want to withhold from anyone. Our aim is to enable other cycling enthusiasts to enjoy this breathtaking nature. That's why we are planning an “orientation tour for bikepackers” to bring the beauty of the Swabian Alb to life. A small micro-adventure that will showcase the diversity and charm of this unique region. Together we want to share the joy of cycling.
Details
Categories
- Solo (160 €) - Just you, your bike and 480 km of joy and pain.
- Doppel-Packa (€300) - Twice the fun, twice the pain - all in a team, but of course everyone on their own bike.
- To keep it diverse and colorful, we aim for a balanced quota of men and women. Some spots will be reserved for friends and acquaintances.
The entry fee includes
- A small but nice starter pack – better to have less, but useful, than unnecessary “junk” that just takes up space for snacks!
- A delicious "ALB-GOLD Pasta-Party" on check-in day.
- GPS tracking via “Follow my Challenge ‘ – so that your friends and family can "cheer" from a safe distance.
- A warm welcome at the finish line (including a hug – no matter how much you smell of sweat and adventure!) and a stylish finisher gift as well as showers, campfire and the opportunity for a short power nap.
- Familiar "ALB-GOLD finisher party" with tasty spaetzle, drinks, good vibes and plenty of opportunities to share your adventures with others.
- Limited sleeping spots in the hut or a place to pitch a tent, but only before and after the event (keyword self-supported).
- High-quality photo and video material – for all your amazing achievements along the way.

Route
Free Route
You have to comlete three loops of 'Alb-Packa-Zacka,' which are defined by predetermined checkpoints. You can freely choose the route between the checkpoints and decide which loop you want to tackle first. The final checkpoints will be announced a few weeks before the event, giving you plenty of time to plan your individual route.
Track overview
480 km, +7,500 m of climbing and lots of adventure – that's Alb-Packa. On the Swabian Alb you can expect crisp climbs, rapid descents, castles, ruins, beautiful valleys and a pair of underpants (yes, you read that right).
Underground
The route consists mainly of gravel and asphalt paths, with occasional rough sections with large stones and water channels that look like small gorges. It's best to grab a gravel bike or mountain bike with a tire width of at least 40 mm and a gear ratio that can cope with even the steepest climbs – because it gets hilly here!
Rules
Self-supported
You are your own hero. Outside help? No way! You can only accept support if it is publicly accessible (shops, accommodation, bike repair shops ...) or offered by nice people – because you can't say no to nice people!
Environment first
Leave nothing behind but your tire tracks – and maybe a few beads of sweat.
No material depots
You need to carry everything you need with you or find it along the way.
No overnight bookings...
... in advance or stay with friends or at home.
No motor, no public transportation
Just you, the pedals and your pure muscle power!
Drafting...
... is only up to the Doppel-Packas. Spontaneous riding or taking a break in small groups is absolutely acceptable.
Self-supported even during preparation
So read first, then think and finally ask – because asking questions is like braking downhill: sometimes you just don't need to!
